Hi…..found your bikini diet but this seems awfully hard for the working person – you can’t always eat every 3 hours and how do you bring cold egg whites to work with you????? I will pass this onto Rhonda.

Hi Gail,
You’re right it’s hard to have to eat every three hours….if you’re eating this way, you’ll definitely
need it though. Take a look at the 1st document titled “A Foods to Choose”, that will show you a list of
all the good proteins, carbs, healthy fats…:)

Thanks so much.

Egg whites…boil the eggs take them to work and throw out the yolks! ;) Alejandra, I work with your sister Dahiana and am very interested in getting in competitive shape (but not to compete). Is there any way we can chat?
Thanks!

I was looking at the Bikini Diet and was interested. how long do you normally do it for?

Reply

Alejandra Font May 15, 2012 at 9:00 am

I recommend doing it for no more than two weeks, especially if you’re new to clean eating.

I am doing the 18 camp nutrition. What is an acceptable substitute for sweet potatoes?

Thanks.

Hi Trent,

You can substitute any other complex carb…like oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice, red potatoes.

Let me know how it goes. People have a lot of success on that plan!

Thanks for the info. Where could I find more on what to use or how to prepare the protein shakes? Also suggested ways of cooking foods without using butter/oils/etc.

Reply

Alejandra Font September 4, 2012 at 5:08 pm

Hi Veronica,
I have a previous post for a chocolate peanut butter shake, but basically if you buy any protein powder, blend with water ice and
maybe some frozen fruit, it’s really good.

I even blend fruit with the chocolate ones!

As far as cooking without oil, I use Pam a lot…but you can get idea by doing a google search, there are a lot of oils that are good for you!!

When preparing protiens (like chicken), is it ok to use any type of seasoning or herbs to give flavor? Do you reccomend any or any to stay away from?

Reply

Alejandra Font January 3, 2013 at 11:02 am

Hi Elena,

Natural herbs are great for seasoning and good for your too. The problem is when you use seasoning out of a bottle, they usually contain way too much salt and
sometimes even sugar. If you want to use seasoning from a bottle I recommend Mrs. Dash…it is completely salt free and they have many different flavors.

I hope this helps!

Hi Alejandra,

Inspired by your grocery shopping post and the meal plans above, I am going grocery shopping tomorrow. What brand of protein powder would you suggest for a clean eating newbie? Also I hate grapefruit what fruit would you suggest to supplement it with? Thanks!! Look forward to your response!

Oops just saw the suggestion for pro 7 from nutri shop! Oh and I have a peanut allergy would almond butter be an equal substitution? Thanks!

Alejandra Font February 2, 2013 at 6:48 am

Hi Jessica,

I see you are good with the protein powder…so as for the fruit, the best fruits to stick to are berries, any kind.
Strawberries, cranberries, blueberries…they are associated with a lower risk of certain cancers, urinary tract health, memory function, and healthy aging. They also have a ton of fiber and are great for weight loss.

Thanks so much and I hope you had a successful trip to the store! :)

I will begin the 18 day plan next Monday. Is coffee (1-2 cups a day) allowable? Any creamers?

I will get the Pro 7 protein powder from NutriShop but please share with me any other tips for beginning this 18 day plan to macimize results?

FYI: I will begin Camp in Riverside next week too. I am going on this with 3 of my friends so we have support to get this done.

Hi Dr. Pam,

The best tip I could give you is to follow the plan! I promise it works as long as you stick to it.

It’s important to eat every 3 hours so set a timer if you must!! Also, don’t miss your workouts…you’re going to
love our Riverside location!!! Have a blast and welcome to our awesome fit fam!

Hi Rosie,

I’m not too familiar with the components of the Vi Shape shake but I imagine if
it’s a weight loss drink it is low in sugar. It should be fine in combo with any of my
meal plans….also real food is always a better option than shakes!

Hello, I am wanting to start your nutrition program but am currently still breastfeeding … what adjustments do I need to make??

Reply

Alejandra Font April 29, 2013 at 9:28 am

Hi Sarah,

Just increase the portion size so you consume more calories…focus on about an
additional 800 calories in your diet until you no longer breast feed.

Hi Christine,

You can substitute fish fro extra lean ground turkey or boneless, skinless chicken breast:)

Hi…I don’t eat eggs do you have any suggestions as to what I can substitute instead of the eggs?

Reply

Alejandra Font May 25, 2013 at 10:49 am

HI Michelle,

The substitution for egg whites would just be another lean protein like, fish, canned tuna, extra lean ground turkey
or chicken breast.

I hope this helps.

Hi Alejandra,
I notice there aren’t very many fruits at all- however, I love my fruits esp. in the summertime. How do you incorporate fruit into your diet? Or do you not recommend it?
Thanks,
Dana
