Hey AFF, (Awesome Fit Fam)

I hope you’ve had a great week.

I’m about to leave for a mini vacation to Santa Barbara for the weekend…I’m looking

forward to it but I know it’s going to be a struggle staying on track! The battle we all

face everyday right? For me it’s no different, that’s for sure. If I could just take my own

advice, but it’s hard sometimes. I know exactly what to do, but sometimes I don’t do it.

Weight-loss is more than a billion dollar industry, for a reason. Even those of us who coach

people and guide them toward their weight-loss goals sometimes struggle with it, even though we

know exactly what to do.

Our mission at The Camp is to make fitness a part of your lives, in order for that to happen

our approach isn’t so regimented or extreme. You have to make training a priority and you

also have to have balance in your life when it comes to your food choices. You can definitely

lose weight quickly by following a super strict diet of protein and veggie, but in the long term

eating only that wouldn’t be healthy or easy to maintain.

Unless you’re on a deadline, like our 6 Week Challenge or Bikini Squad Competition,

I suggest you simply practice balance. The 80/20 rule is a good guide to follow. 80% of your

calories are from good protein, veggie, and grains and 20% are from everything and anything else.

Doing this, you’ll find you don’t even need a “cheat meal”. Since you’re not

completely limiting yourself from foods you consider unhealthy you will see you won’t

even crave them much.

I’ve included a list on my site called “A Foods” click here to check it out.

I think it’s a great guide to go by.

Let me know what you think!

We have a lot of cool programs around the corner…see below:

Kettle Bell Training offered Tuesday and Thursday at 7am in Chino starts 10/8 and will go until 11/14

Dr. Nikhil Lad will be leading the classes, he’s visiting us from India

unfortunately he can only do the Chino location because he’s staying

very close by and doesn’t have transportation to the other facilities….

but of course, as always, all of our AFF is welcome to attend.

No need to sign up for this, just show up!
